Sony WH-1000XM6 Reinforced Headband Ring and Slider Hinge Replacement Parts
Is the plastic ring at the end of your Sony WH-1000XM6 headband cracked, or has the slider pulled out so the ear cup won't stay in place? Sony reinforced the XM6 hinge; we reinforced the part that actually breaks. This headband ring and slider clip are made from a stronger material than the original, so the fix lasts longer than the part that failed.

Is This Your Problem?
The plastic ring at the end of the XM6 headband cracks right above the hinge. Once it splits, the slider that adjusts the fit can pull out of the headband, and the ear cup will not stay at the height you set or will slide down while you wear it. Most owners call this a broken hinge or a broken arm ring, but the hinge itself is usually fine. If your ear cup only wobbles and nothing is cracked, the hinge has likely just come loose, and you do not need this part.
Compatibility
Fits the Sony WH-1000XM6 (XM6) wireless noise-canceling headphones only. It does not fit the WH-1000XM5, WH-1000XM4, or earlier models. Each side is sold separately; if both sides are cracked, order one left and one right.
What's Included
- 1 x Reinforced headband ring
- 1 x Reinforced slider clip
Installation Notes
Difficulty: Advanced. The ear cup and headband cover come off to reach the ring and slider. The 12-pin connector on the headband wire has to be removed so the wire can pass through the new ring and slider, so you will also need a new 12-pin headband wire connector, sold separately. Take photos as you take it apart so the wire routing goes back the same way.
