Steps to Replace Your MacBook Screen

1. Remove the Back Cover
1.1 Use the P1.2 screwdriver to remove all screws from the back cover.
1.2 Take a metal pry tool and a plastic clip to gently pry up the back cover. Start at the back end and slide the tool around the edges until you hear the case pop up.
1.3 Lift the back cover and slide it out from the hinges. Set it aside.
2. Disconnect the Battery
2.1 Peel this up.
2.2 Unplug the battery ribbon connector using a flathead screwdriver to help undo the clips.
2.3 Use the T5 screwdriver to remove the screw holding the flex ribbon in place.
2.4 Pull the ribbon up gently to avoid touching the motherboard.
3. Drain Remaining Power
3.1 Open your MacBook and hold the power button for five seconds to drain any remaining power.
4. Remove the Wi-Fi Antenna Screws
4.1 Carefully undo the Wi-Fi antenna connectors using a flathead screwdriver.
4.2 Remove the screw that holds the Wi-Fi antenna to the motherboard with the T5 screwdriver.
5. Remove Screws and Components
5.1 Use the T3 screwdriver to remove screws in the area around the screen.
5.2 Remove any additional screws using the P2 screwdriver as needed.
5.3 Carefully remove the speaker screws and any other components that may obstruct the screen removal.
6. Remove the Wi-Fi Antenna
6.1 Pull the ribbon up.
6.2 Carefully remove the Wi-Fi Antenna.
7. Remove the Old Screen
7.1 Remove hinge screws.
7.2 Open the MacBook halfway or three-fourths of the way.
7.3 Gently pop the screen out of its hinges and set it aside.
8. Install the New Screen
8.1 Align the screen and pop it into place.
8.2 Secure the screen by screwing it in on each side (one screw each side).
9. Reassemble the Components
9.1 Ensure all ribbons are correctly positioned and not pinched.
9.2 Secure the remaining screws of the hinge.
9.3 Install T2 screw.
9.4 Reinstall the Wi-Fi antenna by feeding the wires through the opening and securing it with screws.
9.5 Plug in the antenna connectors.
10. Final Assembly
10.1 Reinstall all screws you removed earlier to secure the components.
10.2 Plug the ribbon back.
10.3 Reattach the back cover by aligning the ridges and sliding it into place.
10.4 Push down on the middle and sides to ensure it clips in securely.
11. Secure the Back Cover
11.1 Use the P5 screwdriver to reinstall the screws for the back casing.
11.2 Double-check that everything is secure and properly assembled.
