Step-by-Step DIY Guide to Replacing the Battery on the Apple Watch Ultra at Home
In this detailed DIY repair guide, we show you how to replace the worn-out battery on the Apple Watch Ultra yourself. Follow each step carefully and use the accompanying images as a visual guide to complete the repair with confidence.
Step 1: Separate the Display from the Watch Body
1.1. Set the heat gun to approximately 170°C (338°F) and heat the edge of the screen for roughly a minute and a half.

1.2. Insert a flexible pry tool in the seam between the display screen and the watch body and gently pry upward from all four sides to separate the two halves. Dip the pry tool in isopropyl alcohol frequently to help dissolve the adhesive quickly. Be very careful not to crack the screen.

Step 2: Disconnect the Worn-out Battery
2.1. Using a Y-tip 0.8mm screwdriver available in our Joe’s 50-in-1 screwdriver set, unfasten the 4 small screws holding the battery and store them safely. You may need to bend the metal plate over the top-left screw using precision tweezers to gain access.

2.2. Disconnect the battery connector, remove the battery, and set it aside.

Step 3: Install a New Battery
3.1. Align the new battery with the slot in the watch body and fasten the 4 screws. Remember to bend the metal plate back over the top-left screw. Once done, connect the ribbon cable.

Step 4: Reassemble the Apple Watch Ultra
4.1. Clean the adhesion surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove dust and ensure a waterproof seal.

4.2. Apply fresh adhesive on the watch body along the edge where the screen will sit. Do not apply glue to the display.

4.3. Align the screen with the watch body and press down for a secure fit. Use a rubber band or plastic spring clamp to apply pressure while the adhesive cures.

Congratulations! Your Apple Watch Ultra is Ready to Use
You have successfully replaced the battery on the Apple Watch Ultra with original spare parts. Wait at least 24 hours for the glue to cure before using the device. Test the charging function, Bluetooth pairing, and button response to ensure the device is working properly.
