Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing the Battery on Your Beats Solo 4 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones
Here is a step-by-step DIY guide for replacing the battery in your Beats by Dre Solo 4 Wireless Bluetooth headphones at home. Follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging any delicate internal components.
Step 1: Separate the Left Outer Shell Using a Pry Tool
1.1. The battery is located on the left side of your headphones: the side with the charger port. Place your Beats Solo 4 Wireless Bluetooth headphones on a heat-proof, anti-static rubber work mat. Insert a strong metal pry tool between the edges and remove the left outer shell. You will hear 4 clicks when the outer shell is ready to be separated from the headphones.

1.2. Insert the strong metal pry tool between the outer and inner shells that are still attached and use mild pressure to separate the two surfaces.

Step 2: Remove the Battery Using a Pry Tool
2.1. Using the strong metal pry tool, gently remove the battery from the housing. Be very careful not to damage the battery or any of the fragile internal cables.

2.2. Pull off the sticker attached to the rear end of the battery and discard it. You won’t need it later.

Step 3: Remove the Glue from the Battery Connector
3.1. Use a precision tweezer to remove the glue on the battery connector. Be careful not to damage the connector.

3.2. You can use a little bit of heat to soften the glue and make it pliable. Use the heat gun for no more than 5-10 seconds.

3.3. Once the glue is off, gently disconnect the old battery from the connector using precision tweezers and discard it safely.

Step 4: Install a New Battery
4.1. Grab the new battery and reconnect the cable connector.

4.2. Place the battery inside the housing, press it firmly into place, and tuck the cables along the edges of the battery.

Step 5: Reassemble Your Beats Solo 4 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones
5.1. Grab the inside panel and align it with the metal frame of the headphone so that it touches at the top end.

5.2. Grab the outside panel, align it with the inside panel and the metal frame, and press the clips on the edges back into place.

5.3. Align the outer and inner shells and squeeze them until the 4 clips click back into place.
