Bose Pairing & Reset Guide

Having trouble connecting or resetting your Bose headphones or earbuds?

This easy step-by-step guide will help you pair and reset any Bose model — including Bose QuietComfort, Bose 700, SoundLink, and Bose Sport / QuietComfort Earbuds — whether you’re using an iPhone, Android, or computer.

These instructions are simple, effective, and work across most Bose wireless devices.

Bose Headphones (QuietComfort, Bose 700, SoundLink)

🔹 How to Pair Bose Headphones with an iPhone or iPad

  1. Turn on your headphones. If this is your first time pairing, they should automatically enter pairing mode (the indicator light flashes blue).

  2. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → Bluetooth and make sure it’s on.

  3. Under “Other Devices,” tap your Bose model (e.g., “Bose QC45” or “Bose 700”).

  4. Wait for the connection tone or solid white light on the headphones — that means you’re paired.

If they don’t enter pairing mode automatically:

  • Slide and hold the Bluetooth switch to the Bluetooth symbol until you hear “Ready to connect.”

  • Then complete the pairing steps above.

🔹 How to Pair Bose Headphones with Android or Windows

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your device.

  2. Turn on your Bose headphones and hold the Bluetooth button until the light flashes blue.

  3. On your phone or computer, select your Bose model from the available devices list.

  4. When connected, the LED will turn solid white and you’ll hear “Connected to [device name].”

If your headphones won’t connect, disconnect randomly, or aren’t charging properly — try a quick reset.

  1. Turn off your headphones.

  2. Plug them into a power source via USB.

  3. Wait about 5 seconds, then unplug the USB cable.

  4. Wait 1 minute, then power them back on.

For some models (like Bose QC45 and Bose 700):

  1. Connect your headphones to power.

  2. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds until the LED blinks.

  3. Release and reconnect normally.
